About The Position

We are looking for a talented Health Safety and Environmental Tech IV to join our team specializing in Health and Safety for our Cummins Inc. facility in Maxton, NC. Provides technical support on health, safety and environmental to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader. Assists in the analysis, review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen HSE culture by identifying gaps in corporate and local requirements and ensuring safety principles are consistently embedded into daily operations.
• Enhance incident prevention by actively supporting hazard identification, risk assessments, and stop work authority to eliminate major injury hazards before they escalate.
• Improve reporting accuracy and compliance by guiding the site through proper processes for incident, illness, hazard, and environmental reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement by supporting investigations, analyzing HSE trends, and ensuring timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Advance environmental stewardship through active support of environmental management programs and sustainability-related initiatives.
• Promote emergency readiness by helping maintain emergency procedures and ensuring site personnel understand their roles.
• Reinforce quality and operational excellence by performing quality checks, controlling non conforming materials, and raising issues that protect cost, quality, and safety.
• Build team capability and engagement by communicating effectively, supporting training and development, and participating in programs that encourage an interdependent safety culture.
