About The Position

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist is responsible for the HSE risk reduction strategy, HSE plans and procedures guidance, and strengthening the safety culture to deliver strong HSE performance for multiple small accounts.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 2 Years of experience in HSE-related work, including experience in custodial or groundskeeping environments.
  • Experience supporting HSE programs, regulatory compliance, safety inspections, incident investigations, and employee training in a multi-site environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and work effectively with facility teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to support change initiatives and promote a strong HSE culture.
  • Ability to deliver HSE training using multiple methods to support employee understanding and implementation.
  • Ability to adapt communication and approach based on cultural and operational differences across multiple sites.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, and OneNote.
  • Strong quantitative skills, including basic calculations and percentages.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time, to include overseas travel.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 Years of experience in HSE-related work, including experience in custodial or groundskeeping environments.
  • ASP or similar safety certification.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain HSE programs and procedures across multiple client sites to meet regulatory, client, and CBRE requirements.
  • Evaluate existing and new HSE programs and recommend improvements to support compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Train facility staff and new hires on HSE programs, policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance, communicate findings and deficiencies, and support management in ensuring issues are corrected.
  • Use HSE data and trends to identify preventative measures and improve business processes and safety programs.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, client HSE leadership, and CBRE HSE teams to support risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Respond to HSE-related client and employee matters while prioritizing needs across multiple sites.
  • Review accident and injury reports to ensure appropriate investigations, corrective actions, and prevention of recurrence.
  • Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines and provide input to maintain compliant operations.
  • Model CBRE RISE values, provide guidance on HSE practices and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.
