About The Position

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Health, Safety, and Environment Specialist. This role involves working in the energy industry, contributing to the company's operations which include exploring, producing, and transporting crude oil and natural gas; refining, marketing, and distributing fuels and other energy products; manufacturing and selling petrochemical products; generating power; and developing future energy resources. The position is for a returning intern, targeting individuals with two years of experience or less, pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in relevant fields. The role requires a desire and ability to work in both domestic and international locations.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience or less.
  • Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in one of the following: Industrial Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Occupational Safety and Health Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering with environmental emphasis, Civil Engineering with environmental emphasis, Environmental Sciences (master’s or PhD preferred), Safety Science, Geology/Hydrogeology (master’s or PhD preferred).
  • Desire and ability to work in both domestic and international locations as new opportunities arise.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s or PhD preferred for Environmental Sciences.
  • Master’s or PhD preferred for Geology/Hydrogeology.
