About The Position

This position involves providing psychological evaluation, consultation, and intervention services for medically complex patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The fellow will work individually, with families, and in groups within a medical environment. A key aspect of the role is collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop evidence-based treatment plans focused on coping strategies and medical adherence for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, aiming to optimize health outcomes and facilitate discharge planning.

Requirements

• Completion of all requirements of a Ph.D or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology
• Successful completion of a clinical psychology internship prior to start of employment
• CPR/BLS Required

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of an APA or APPIC member clinical psychology internship prior to start of employment
• Prior academic and clinical training experience in health psychology

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological evaluation, consultation, and intervention services for medically complex patients (inpatient and outpatient) on an individual, family, and/or group basis in a medical setting.
• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive evidence-based treatment plans addressing coping and medical adherence with acute and chronic illness to maximize health outcomes and discharge plans.
