About The Position

Clay County Public Health is hiring a full-time Health Promotions Director. The position provides leadership and oversight for community health initiatives, plans and evaluates programs based on community health needs and departmental priorities, and oversees grants, budgets, and program requirements. The Director builds community partnerships, participates in department-wide planning, and serves on the Public Health Management and Emergency Preparedness team. The role supervises the health promotions team and provides guidance, support, performance management, and oversight of daily operations. Other duties may be assigned by the Public Health Director. The position is exempt and works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The hiring salary is $38.93–$41.91 per hour or negotiable based on experience and qualifications; the full salary range is $38.93–$55.28 per hour. The position is eligible for Clay County’s benefit package and opportunities for career development and personal growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
3–5 years of related work experience in strategic planning, collaboration, and facilitating community efforts.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a background check.
