About The Position

Responsible professional work performing specialized duties involving the planning and implementation of outreach activities for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. Work includes the identification and procurement of grant funds to assist the WIC program and its participants. Incumbents must also develop educational and promotional materials, and conduct nutrition education classes. Work includes planning and conducting outreach activities in conjunction with other public health and community organizations; and related duties as required.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, nutrition, dietetics, health promotion, human ecology, social work, a social science or a closely related field.
  • One (1) year of professional experience in healthcare, public health, nutrition, dietetics, health promotion, human ecology, or social work.
  • Professional experience is paid experience gained in a position that required a Bachelor's degree upon entrance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage the public along all demographics.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Must provide original documents of qualifying credentials prior to start date.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
