The Health Policy Strategist supports the American Academy of Family Physicians' clinical, public health, and health policy priorities by developing and implementing evidence-based programs, educational resources, and physician-facing tools that improve patient, family, and community health. The position plays a key role in advancing grant-funded initiatives through proposal development, project implementation, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and evaluation. Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, the Strategist translates emerging evidence, health policy priorities, and public health principles into practical resources and programs that support family physicians, strengthen care delivery, and advance population health. The role also contributes to project management, clinical education initiatives, program evaluation, and the synthesis and communication of findings, outcomes, and recommendations that inform AAFP priorities and member resources.
