About The Position

This full-time contractual position serves as a Health Policy Analyst II, primarily focused on coordinating program operations for the Office of Advanced Primary Care (OAPC). The role involves managing both long-term projects and day-to-day operations, supporting co-management of Maryland’s AHEAD Advanced Primary Care Programs with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) and other MDH stakeholders. Key responsibilities include external stakeholder communication, development of program materials, monitoring operational activities, and supporting recruitment and onboarding of program participants. The position also provides administrative support, manages internal team meetings, and addresses external inquiries. This role is critical for the operational and financial infrastructure supporting Maryland’s Advanced Primary Care Program participants and falls under the Office of Health Care Financing and Medicaid.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Two years of experience evaluating, analyzing, researching and developing health care services, policies and programs.

  • Possession of a motor vehicle operator’s license valid in the State of Maryland.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program operations for long-term projects and day-to-day management of the operations workstream.
  • Support co-management of Maryland’s AHEAD Advanced Primary Care Programs with CMMI and MDH stakeholders.
  • Facilitate support and growth of primary care programs in Maryland’s AHEAD Model.
  • Manage communications with external stakeholders.
  • Develop program materials.
  • Monitor the completion of operational activities within the Office.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities for potential program participants.
  • Manage internal team meetings.
  • Address external inquiries.
  • Provide administrative support.
