The main purpose of this position is to support, coordinate and strengthen health planning activities for the Garrett County Health Department. This position will assist with agency-wide planning, accreditation, performance management, quality improvement, grant development, administrative coordination and documentation activities that advance the department's mission and improve community health outcomes. This position will support Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation efforts. This position will assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of the Garrett County Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan. This position will coordinate agency performance management and quality improvement initiatives. This position will collect, analyze and report health-related data. This position will prepare planning documents, reports, presentations and meeting minutes and assist with grant writing, monitoring and reporting. This position will also support administrative processes as needed, including coordinating contracts, maintaining required documentation, tracking deliverables, organizing records and ensuring timely follow-up on planning, accreditation, grant and quality improvement activities. This position will work collaboratively with Health Department leadership, staff, community partners and stakeholders to identify health priorities, track progress toward strategic goals, promote data-informed decision-making and support efficient agency operations across programs and services.
