About The Position

The Health Plan Applications Administration Manager is a key role and is responsible for the management of analysts that support and optimize an assigned set of Health Plan applications and resources. This team maintains appropriate application functionality and performance while utilizing established CCHCS IS methodologies. Responsibilities of the Health Plan IS Manager include, but are not limited to: Manages support, issues, application configuration, workflows, data conversions, data validation, reports etc. The Manager partners with business leaders and supports and analyzes business operations during for technical requirements and design decisions. Works closely with Business Leaders to understand business problems and opportunities with eye for technology approaches and collaborates with other IT leaders to recommend IT systems solutions to support the business strategy. Prioritizes and aligns resources for requested changes to applications. Manages software updates. Ensures system standardization of naming and numbering conventions. Manages the business relationships among end users, third parties and Epic teams including communications, facilitation, and escalation. Staff Management responsibility providing leadership direction and support for the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5 years of progressively responsible and applicable business and information systems knowledge.
• Demonstrated experiences with system configuration.
• Experience with managed health care organizations and/or insurance operations.
• 4 years of prior IT management experience with a minimum of two years' experience with health care information systems.
• Self-motivated and directed.
• Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, problem-solve and use appropriate technologies and business tools.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.
• Ability to set and manage priorities to meet timeline deliverables.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Promotes a team-oriented, collaborative environment, and ability to successfully plan, organize and manage work.
• Understanding of Project management concepts, project life cycles, with a deep understanding of the requirements, specifications, testing and implementation phases.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with Epic Systems, Tapestry and Health Planet is preferred.
• Epic certification required within 9 month of employment.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
