About The Position
The Easton Area School District is seeking a Health/Physical Education Teacher for a Long Term Substitute position at the Easton Area Middle School Campus for the 1st Semester of the 2026-2027 School Year. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in the appropriate area. The selected candidate will demonstrate a strong academic record, excellent educational references, and related experience. They should also show knowledge of current educational research and successfully complete interviews and meet all local requirements.
Requirements
- Hold or be eligible for a Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in the appropriate area.
- Provide evidence of a strong academic record.
- Provide excellent educational references and related experience.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current educational research.
- Successfully complete a series of interviews.
- Submit a PA Standard Teaching Application (for external applicants).
- Submit a Letter of Interest.
- Submit a Resume.
- Submit three current Letters of Recommendation (within one year) (for external applicants).
- Submit a Copy of Teaching Certificate (for external applicants).
- Submit a Copy of college/university transcripts (for external applicants).
- Provide Act 34 PSP Criminal Record Check.
- Provide Act 114 FBI Criminal History Check.
- Provide Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance.
- Provide Act 24/82 PDE 6004 form.
Responsibilities
- Teach Health/Physical Education at the secondary level.
- Provide instruction for the 1st Semester of the 2026-2027 School Year.
- Meet all local requirements for the position.
