About The Position

Acentra Health is looking for a Senior Health Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team. This position is responsible for analyzing health care data and utilizing the data to identify potential business opportunities, often in a client facing roll. Will be involved in other analytical projects that relate to business opportunities, financial reconciliation and outcomes research.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in analytics, information systems, computer science, or related fields required.
Requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree (with Associate's degree).

Knowledgeable of business intelligence and data warehouse methodologies.
Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS)
Skilled in database administration
Skilled in SQL tools including SSRS, SSAS, SSMS, and Team Foundation Server
Skilled in ETL tools
Skilled in data modeling
Skilled in performance tuning and identification
Knowledge of business and technical systems and processes
Skilled in requirements gathering and documentation
Skilled in functional and technical design specifications
Skilled in process modeling
Knowledgeable of the healthcare industry, managed care, and operational systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Primary point of contact or “account manager” for analytics department.
Understand client contract requirements and type of work.
Deliver and present reports, adding appropriate QA, analysis, and commentary.
Monitor production and distribution of automated reports.
Manage report delivery calendar and ensure on-track production status.
Gather report requirements, assign priorities and package for technical team.
Manage requests for ad hoc reporting.
Provide timely ad hoc reporting as able or facilitate production and prioritization with technical team.
Working knowledge of database environment, key tables and joins.
Understanding of how workflow processing relates to database transactions.
Performs quality checks of all analytics queries, reports, and applications and identifies disparities and actionable resolutions.
Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.
