Health Information Technician/Health Information Management
About The Position
Our Health Information Department consists of clerks and technicians. This vital department is responsible for the records management for both inpatient and outpatient departments. They assist with the management of health information data including electronic and paper medical records. They work with patients and families directly at times as well. The Technician is responsible for assisting with the management of health information data including electronic and paper medical records. This role helps to ensure that health information is accurate, accessible, secure and maintained in a protected manner. This role will also assist the HI Director by performing task-oriented projects and assisting other departments with HI related activities. We are looking for a team player who has great customer service skills and is detailed oriented.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years' experience with medical records
Nice To Haves
- Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred
- Previous experience with hospital medical records preferred
- Great customer service skills
- Detailed oriented
Responsibilities
