Requirements

  • Performs clerical tasks as assigned by management staff.
  • Birth Certificate Completion/Release of Information Requests/Transcription Support and other department support.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieves medical records from Patient Care areas, organizes and processes for document imaging.
  • Reconciles records against discharge census and takes appropriate and timely action to retrieve all discharged patient records.
  • Performs concurrent and retrospective medical record reviews consistent with department/hospital standards and assigns deficiencies for physicians to complete.
  • Generates reports and maintains databases for communication with the medical staff regarding the deficiency management system as well as adherence to the medical staff medical records suspension policy.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
