About The Position

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Health Information Management (HIM) Data Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, proficient in MS Office, and interested in health information support. The specialist will work collaboratively with the HIM team to manage, analyze, aggregate, and distribute data for Devereux Georgia, ensuring excellent customer service and timely completion of record requests. A key aspect of this role is maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of data, and developing proficiency with the Electronic Medical Record and other data systems. Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Georgia provides mental health services for children and adolescents.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years as a data specialist or other related work experience.
  • Experience with MS Office and other desktop applications.
  • Must have excellent skills in Excel and Access
  • Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Drug Screen and Background Check results.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong technical skills and comfortable utilizing in-house computer applications for documenting and reporting purposes.
  • Must be able to complete a two-week, paid new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 8:30am to 5:30pm daily (lunch is included).
  • Devereux requires all individuals interviewing for a position involving contact with children to complete The Diana Screen, a screening that assesses a candidate’s understanding of appropriate boundaries between adults and children.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the HIM team to manage, analyze, aggregate and distribute data for Devereux Georgia
  • Works collaboratively with the HIM team to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
