Join our dynamic team as our new Health Information Practitioner today! A few details about the role: Organize and maintain active and inactive files on all admissions and discharges. Coordinate telephone orders and other forms to physicians for signature. Develop, revise, and enforce health information policies. Create all medical record forms. Revise request for records and HIPAA related forms as required. Provide nursing training regarding health information and compliance procedures in communicating and sharing health information with authorized family members. Calculate and report daily census information. Orchestrate physician compliance of public health and Medicare requirements for physician visits. Notify any physician out of compliance. Manage all paperwork in the clinical record, completing necessary notation of information. Initiate monthly random chart audits. Implement recommended action plans to increase the privacy level of health information. Compile necessary information for release of health information requests. Ensure compliance, accuracy, and security of health information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain log of all record release of information. Expedite subpoena responses auditing records prior to release.

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Two to three years applicable experience

Nice To Haves

  • Health Information Management or Medical Records certification preferred.
