About The Position

Minden Medical Center is seeking a well-organized, energetic Health Information Management Technician to support accurate, timely medical records and strong HIPPA compliance in a busy onsite setting. This role helps ensure patient information is complete, secure, and easy for care teams to access.

Requirements

• Strong typing skills and EHR software proficiency
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and privacy practices
• ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Scanning and indexing documents into the EHR
• Performing filing and record retrieval
• Assisting with release-of-information workflows
• Applying ICD-10 & CPT coding knowledge as needed to maintain record integrity
• Handling routine audits
• Tracking requests
• Communicating clearly with patients, providers, and coworkers
