Requirements

• Enrolled in post-secondary education in Healthcare Informatics or other related healthcare field.
• Knowledge of privacy practices (PHIPA) for managing confidential patient data.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, experience in quality assurance processes.
• Ability to work with high expectation of confidentiality.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Organizational and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and meet conflicting deadlines are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review, scan and upload Air Ambulance Call Reports (AACR) and other patient-related documents into the records system.
• Data entry of AACR including validation in accordance with data quality standards.
• Maintains patient records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with PHIPA privacy regulations.
• Participates in all activities related to the on-site and off-site storage of health records including the organization and maintenance of an electronic filing system and manual records.
• Takes an active role in process improvement.
