About The Position
The Health Info Tech is responsible for maintaining the patient chart filing system and ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of paper through the clinic. This position works under daily supervision. Work situations are routine and require attention to detail. This position requires interaction with internal customers (the nursing staff, providers, account clerks, and all other departments) and external customers (patients, other physician offices, and pharmacies).
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year previous clerical experience, in a clinic setting preferred
- Six months experience in medical record filing preferred
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the patient chart filing system
- Ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of paper through the clinic
- Interacting with internal customers (nursing staff, providers, account clerks, and all other departments)
- Interacting with external customers (patients, other physician offices, and pharmacies)
