About The Position

Health Facility Security Officer — Full Time — Chicago, IL. Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience encouraged to apply!! Schedule: Must be available any day, at least 2 shifts! Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
• 2 years security experience preferred, or combination of relevant education and experience as deemed by the company.
• Strong computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background and ability to resolve conflict required.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Nice To Haves

• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience encouraged to apply!!
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation in healthcare environment.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside / outside the client’s premises, potentially in various weather conditions and in different types of terrain.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Provide detailed written reports.
• Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
