As a Health Content Video Editor, you will work on a variety of large-scale, high-end video projects, as well as provider profiles, operating room footage, lectures, studio recordings and other filming and editing needs. In this role, you will use primarily cinematic cameras, lenses and other necessary field equipment to capture high-quality interviews and footage. You will edit content on a Mac using Final Cut Pro and support various production needs by serving as a grip or second camera operator, drone safety spotter, studio support and in other production roles as needed. A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Communications, Media, Film or other related fields (Relevant experience or skill sets may offset education requirement)
• Two years of filming experience using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses, and other field lighting and audio recording equipment to capture a high-quality product
• One year of video editing experience
• Ability to film high-quality footage and interviews using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses, using appropriate lighting setups and other fields and broadcast equipment
• Ability to ingest and edit videos on Final Cut Pro interfacing with other programs and technology as needed
• Ability to assist with archiving, color correction and other final file making needs
• Ability to work and support tapings in a studio and control room
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, calm and pleasant demeanor, a collaborative and helpful approach to assignments and the ability to solve problems quickly under pressure

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Capture high-end footage and interviews for our various project needs using primarily cinematic cameras and lenses as well as other production equipment including but not limited to sliders, go pros, eye direct, field monitors and prompter.
• Work collaboratively with Project Manager, and producer on shoot planning and equipment list to allow for proper budget and best product.
• Serve also as second camera operator, grip, or drone safety spotter.
• At times will film in an active operating room, following proper safety protocols at all times.
• Responsible for ingesting footage through our Mac edit system interfacing with the Quantum server and CatDV
• Serve as an editor for our department with strong video editing capabilities. Will edit on a mac using Final Cut Pro.
• Work collaboratively with producer and/or Project Manager on all aspects of video editing needs.
• Film and/or edit for provider profiles, lectures, digital storytelling projects and other projects needs assigned by Project Manager or Senior Director/Creative Director.
• Track all projects hours and share weekly with Billing Coordinator and Project Manager.
• Work with Senior Editor to assist with prepping projects for archiving.
• Assist Studio Engineer with control room and studio coverage as needed.
