About The Position

The Health Coach advises dieters on concerns and practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healthier habits. Conducts follow-up sessions with dieters. Assists the service desk with client management. Performs other duties as assigned by department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Kinesiology, Counseling or related field.
Must obtain National Commission for Certifying Agencies accredited Wellness Coaching or similar certification within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

MD Anderson Tobacco Treatment Specialist Certification within six months of hire preferred.

Responsibilities

Advises dieters on concerns and practical ways in which they can improve their health by adopting healthier eating habits.
Receives measurable results and feedback from clients in these areas.
Assists clients with the selection and purchase of products and supplements from multiple product lines.
Stays abreast of current food, nutrition and health issues and research related to nutrition and weight management.
Participates in continuing education.
Regularly consults with Nutrition Manager related to techniques used, challenges, questions, etc.
Keeps all client charts up to date.
Ensures that all charts are organized and contain required information/forms.
Collects data on dieter outcomes to monitor program efficacy.
Accurately measures vitals and body composition.
Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.
