About The Position
Momentum Health is growing its coaching team and is looking for health coaches who want to do more than hand out advice. Coaches will build real relationships, keep participants accountable to their own goals, and help them push through setbacks. You'll work hand-in-hand with our program physician as part of a true care team, and you'll be trained in Motivational Interviewing so every conversation helps participants discover their own reasons to change. This is a remote, relationship-first coaching role, backed by real Motivational Interviewing training.
Requirements
- 1+ years in health and wellness coaching or related field experience.
- Strong listening skills and comfort holding open-ended, exploratory conversations rather than a script.
- Willingness to train in Motivational Interviewing — we teach it as part of onboarding.
- A reliable, private space to take remote coaching calls and a consistent weekly schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Current, active health coach certification (NBC-HWC or another nationally recognized credential)
Responsibilities
- Proactive, non-judgmental check-ins that keep participants consistent with their own goals and commitments.
- Recognize real progress and help participants push through plateaus, setbacks, and discouragement.
- Help participants work through real-life barriers to nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress.
- Coordinate closely with the program physician, relaying care-plan updates and escalating clinical questions promptly.
