About The Position

This role is all about demonstrating daily support of Evernorth Care Delivery. Our Health Coach Managers support the Evernorth Workplace Care product delivery to clients, in the client worksite locations, to build and enhance the business relationship with Evernorth. Responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Evernorth Workplace Care Coaches, the Health Coach Manager works to ensure that the customer's coaching experience is of the highest quality including engagement, care-plan development, management and effectiveness and overall interpersonal relationship development. The Health Coach Manager drives the achievement of measurable improvements in clinical, quality and cost outcomes. This person is proactively engaged in ongoing operational effectiveness reviews ensuring evidence-based medical standards, health and wellness guidelines and behavioral coaching principles are consistently and appropriately applied. Requirements

  • Must be a Cigna/Evernorth Retiree
  • Must have Health Coach Manager experience within Evernorth Workplace Care
  • Bachelor’s degree in health science field or working toward degree
  • Three or more years of clinical experience preferred
  • One or more years of management/leadership skills strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated management/leadership skills required
  • Knowledge and understanding of health behavior change and its application
  • Demonstrated experience in public speaking/presentations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • A high energy level and excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Passion for health improvement of customers
  • Diverse Clinical experience, including working with individuals with chronic illnesses preferred
  • Experience in health education and wellness coaching
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures customer satisfaction through operational delivery of quality health advocacy and health coaching services.
  • Maintains a team of EWC Coaches (Registered Nurses, Health Educators) and manages their performance and outcomes to the needs of the customer and corporate standards.
  • Acts as a liaison and collaborates with all matrix partners within the organization - Quality, Medical, Product, Systems, Training and Sales.
  • Recruits, selects and hires qualified Health Advocate, Health Coach and Case Management Staff (may include Care Associates).
  • Maintains quality improvement and ongoing personal development of all staff.
  • Supervises, monitors and review performance of the team to assure that health advocacy and health education services are delivered promptly, cost effectively, courteously, and according to policy and procedure, appropriate health advocacy and wellness standards, and quality assurance standards.
  • Manages employee review process, individual discussion and feedback and compensation for all team members.
  • Collaborates with Quality Team for quality improvement opportunities and appropriate actions.
  • Partners with matrix members for the development of appropriate work plans and takes corrective actions when necessary to ensure that objectives, standards, policies and procedures are met.
  • Manages appropriate level of follow-up for all work plan and individual performances.
  • Oversees the case direction and incorporates the Thinking it Through Together outcome philosophy.
  • Acts as a liaison and problem-solver between business matrix partners.
  • Evaluates ongoing and future staff requirements/needs to meet customer, site and corporate objectives.
  • Works with Clinical Program Manager to establish and ensure achievement of office's/unit's customer service, clinical, quality, productivity, engagement and medical cost outcomes.
