About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Area Services Director, the Health Center Manager 2 provides supervision to staff, oversees the proper functioning of daily operations of the health center, is responsible for the operations of the assigned facility, including budgetary and productivity goals, and monitors compliance with health center productivity and budgetary goals, incorporating those functions into the overall operations of the agency. This role involves direct patient care, quality monitoring, and community outreach.

Requirements

  • 3 years of supervisory or management training and experience required or equivalent based on increase in position responsibilities and leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with union contract.
  • Understanding of OSHA/WISHA standards.

  • BA/BS in related field preferred.
  • Patient Data software and EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, trains, coaches, evaluates, and hires health center staff.
  • Provides direct patient care and monitors the quality of care and services.
  • Maintains efficient health center flow and manages staff and patient schedules.
  • Conducts community outreach and networks with community agencies.
  • Organizes office operations and procedures, prepares payroll, and evaluates system improvements.
  • Implements and ensures staff compliance with changes in procedures, protocols, and services.
  • Reviews and approves supply requisitions and assigns/monitors front and back-office functions.
  • Recruits, selects, orients, and trains health center staff, coordinating licensed medical staff selection with the Director of Clinician Services.
  • Monitors, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and appraises job results of staff.
  • Monitors and evaluates staff job performance and initiates disciplinary action in consultation with Human Resources.
  • Monitors and evaluates licensed staff in conjunction with the Director of Clinician Services.
  • Monitors/audits follow-up files monthly and reports as per protocol.
  • Monitors and audits OSHA/WISHA standards ensuring compliance.
  • Serves as a resource to staff on personnel and health center operation matters, ensuring knowledge and compliance with the union contract.
  • Plans and implements patient and staff scheduling to minimize patient wait times.
  • Completes operational requirements by developing patient and staff schedules and following up on work results.
  • Maintains positive staff morale and is customer-focused.
  • Plans and facilitates staff meetings with feedback from the clinician team.
  • Ensures staff are informed of procedure and policy changes and other vital information.
  • Monitors quality of care and services by following QI guidelines for audits.
  • Ensures completion of all weekly, monthly, and quarterly health center reports.
  • Achieves financial objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action.
  • Manages health center receipts, prepares bank deposits, and monitors/reconciles petty cash.
  • Works closely and cooperatively with other agency departments, including the Clinical Services Leadership Team.
  • Attends meetings and trainings to stay updated and disseminates information to staff.
  • Oversees and maintains the professional appearance and proper functioning of site facilities.
  • Ensures staff understand and comply with agency policies and protocols.
  • Facilitates health center operations by problem-solving with staff and relevant directors/departments.
  • Provides patient care as needed.
  • Adheres to the PPGNHI code of conduct and all policies, procedures, and protocols.
