Health Care Technician I (Temporary)
About The Position
This is a temporary position with the Office of State Human Resources, Temporary Solutions Division. The position is classified as Health Care Technician I (S) and is located at 1300 Western Blvd in Wake County, assigned to the Department of Adult Corrections - Comprehensive Health. The hourly rate of pay is $18.00, based on education and/or years of relevant work experience. Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their current position to work in a temporary role. All temporary employees are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time. Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified. OSHR supports the Governor's Job Ready initiative to expand temporary skill sets for future employment opportunities.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
- As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.

Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing, clothing, toileting, turning, repositioning and ambulation.
