About The Position

This Health Care Technician I position provides direct care to developmentally disabled individuals. As our individuals age, we recognize their needs, and focus on providing services to enhance their quality of life in a caring home-like environment. We provide treatment with dignity and respect, offering choices and options that support individuality. The person in this position will care for adults who are medically fragile and have significant intellectual, developmental & physical disabilities. To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry. Employee will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. The HCT I position requires frequent lifting and bending.

Requirements

  • Must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry.
  • Must successfully complete training through the Staff Development department (NCI, CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting).
  • High School or General Educational Development diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be listed as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
  • Must be listed as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (as applicable).
  • Must have North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification (as applicable).
