About The Position

This position is a collaboration between CAPS and UVM Health Network’s Suicide Care Center, a multidisciplinary clinic that provides evidence-based psychological treatment to patients who experience suicidal thoughts and behaviors. The person in this position will be trained and receive consultation to provide therapy to UVM students utilizing the Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (BCBT) model. Responsibilities include consulting with students, faculty, and staff around mental health issues; providing administrative and/or clinical supervision to trainees; and providing community outreach in support of the UVM community. Support the mission and philosophy of the Center for Health and Wellbeing and Division of Student Affairs and the University of Vermont. Provide respectful and confidential services for all students.

Requirements

  • Training and consultation to provide therapy to UVM students utilizing the Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (BCBT) model.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with mental health crisis response.
  • Experience in clinical supervision.
  • Experience within a university setting.
