We're currently looking for a certified Health Care Aide (HCA) from Airdrie area to provide one-on-one care to clients in Airdrie. Requirements
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurses and nursing students are encouraged to apply)
- Minimum 2–5 years of caregiving or health care experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
- reliable transportation in Airdrie area
- Access to a mobile phone and internet
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following individualized care plans
Responsibilities
- Assisting clients with personal care, bathing, grooming, and hygiene
- Preparing nutritious meals
- Performing light housekeeping duties
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Accompanying clients on outings and appointments
- Assisting with shopping and errands
- Providing medication reminders and assistance as permitted
- Supporting safe mobility, ambulation, and client transfers
- Following individualized care plans
- Completing accurate documentation and charting after each visit
