About The Position

The Health & Body Care (HBC) Manager is responsible for managing all operations within the HBC department. This role involves providing excellent customer service, developing and maintaining a merchandising calendar, hiring and training new employees, managing the department's sales and labor budget, and ensuring adherence to company policies, security, and safety standards. The manager will also oversee waste management, conduct performance evaluations, plan promotions, manage inventory control, and keep the POS system updated with price changes. Additionally, the role requires staying current on industry trends and educating staff, maintaining historical promotion files, and working towards maximizing overall market sales.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in HBC
  • Must role model & possess outstanding customer service skills
  • Must possess an attitude of service to others
  • Emphasis on selling and merchandising/creativity
  • Must possess intermediate computer skills including MS Office
  • Must possess a strong desire to work hard, be enthusiastic, participate in achieving management goals, and lead by example
  • Demonstrates self-discipline and accountability
  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented
  • Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Manages all operations in the HBC department
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Develops and maintains merchandising calendar at least 13 weeks out
  • Hires, trains new department employees & writes department schedule
  • Responsible for the department sales & labor budget, grosses, and reports
  • Ensures the dissemination & adherence to all company policies
  • Maintains adherence to all security & safety policies
  • Adhered to waste management and recycling procedures
  • Performs semi-annual employee performance evaluations
  • Writes & works orders, plans promotions, ensures proper signage on all products & inventory control procedures for the department
  • Responsible for keeping the POS department updated on price changes
  • Keeps up to date on industry trends/standards/changes and educates staff
  • Maintains historical files on promotions
