Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Health & Safety Specialist to help foster and maintain a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility. This role is ideal for an energetic safety professional who enjoys working directly with manufacturing teams, identifying opportunities for improvement, providing training, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Requirements

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Health & Safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and workplace safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and gain buy-in across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Willingness to become a First Aid/CPR Instructor.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience conducting safety training and presentations.
  • Experience with accident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics, industrial hygiene, and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to analyze safety data and recommend improvements.
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly and monthly safety inspections of facilities and equipment.
  • Perform daily production floor walkthroughs to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and collaborate with leaders to resolve safety concerns.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining company safety programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and deliver safety education and training for team members.
  • Conduct housekeeping audits and safety observations.
  • Assist with job hazard analyses and ergonomic assessments to reduce workplace risks.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, corrective actions, and employee safety documentation.
  • Coordinate care for injured team members and assist with return-to-work activities.
  • Participate in accident investigations and help implement corrective actions, including preparing safety alerts when necessary.
  • Assist with monthly stormwater sampling and Industrial Hygiene monitoring.
  • Support the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager with additional safety and environmental initiatives.
