Arizona Connections Academy (ACA) is a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K–12 throughout Arizona. ACA is authorized under state law by the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools and governed by an independent Board of Directors. The school is operated by Arizona Connections Academy, a nonprofit corporation, through a contract with Connections Academy of Arizona, LLC, to provide its educational program and other services. Connections Academy, a division of Connections Education, is accredited by AdvancED, and ACA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement. Working out of your home in Arizona, the Adjunct Teacher will manage subject-specific instructional programs. Compensation will be based on the specific course workload and number of enrolled students. They will be responsible for monitoring progress, evaluating work, running online instructional/tutorial sessions, providing academic guidance, and being the subject-matter expert for a caseload of secondary students. The Adjunct Teacher must be able to complete work related responsibilities through a combination of regular office hours during the school day in conjunction with hours scheduled outside the normal school day. Through use of the telephone, Internet and various curriculum tools, the adjunct teacher will consult regularly with learning coaches and students to ensure that each child successfully completes their instructional program. The adjunct will report to a member of the school’s leadership team (Principal, AP, Master Teacher).
