About The Position

Legacy Lifecare VNA and Hospice is seeking a Healing Music Specialist to provide compassionate and comprehensive care. This role is a leader in the industry, valuing resident care and employee appreciation. The specialist will deliver individual music therapy sessions tailored to patient preferences and goals, using music to address relaxation, pain management, emotional processing, developmental support, and end-of-life/bereavement needs. Collaboration with patients, family members, and other team members is essential to align with the patient's overall care plan.

Requirements

• Experience performing music in healthcare, senior living, hospice, or community settings.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written

Nice To Haves

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in music, education, human services, or a related field preferred.
• Prior experience working with end-of life patients, or in a long-term care setting preferred
• Experience working with older adults, individuals with dementia, or patients receiving palliative or end-of-life care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual music therapy sessions tailored to patient preferences and goals
• Use music to address relaxation, pain management, emotional processing, developmental support, and end-of-life/bereavement needs
• Collaborate with patients, family members and other team members to align with the patient's overall care plan
