About The Position

Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for the position of part-time, interim Head Women’s Wrestling Coach for the 2026-27 season. BW has a rich athletic tradition and has had a very successful Men’s Wrestling Program including six of the last seven Ohio Athletic Conference Championships and one 2022 National Champion. BW is a member of the Ohio Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III. The athletic department supports the University mission by assisting students in their preparation toward becoming contributing, compassionate citizens in an increasingly global society. The Coach is under the supervision of the Director of Athletics. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficient with technology applications applicable to the position including FloWrestling, Microsoft Suite of Applications and Teamworks are department wide communication platform.
  • Demonstrated organizational and management ability
  • Strong ethical character and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess a strong commitment to diversity and inclusiveness
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays in line with the competitive sports calendar.
  • Must successfully pass an enhanced background check due to working with minors.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, be insurable, and comply with University driver and vehicle safety policies as part of essential job duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Successful coaching experience preferred.
  • Experience as a collegiate or higher level athlete can be substituted for coaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate, and develop all aspects of a successful women’s wrestling program including but not limited to: Organizing, preparing and executing effective practice, strength training and meet strategies.
  • Coordinate, host and manage BW, OAC and potentially NCAA national meets.
  • Monitoring and nurturing student-athletes’ personal progress.
  • Managing successfully the daily operations of the wrestling program: assisting with budget preparation and management, scheduling, travel arrangements, and meet day organization while maintaining compliance with NCAA, OAC and BW rules and regulations.
  • Assisting with fundraising, alumni activities and public relations as needed.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Fostering a cooperative work environment and providing mutual support with all constituencies and colleagues.
  • Representing the program and Baldwin Wallace University with sportsmanship, integrity and professionalism.
  • Work within established departmental expectations for safety, compliance, conduct, and student well-being.
