About The Position

The Head Women’s Tennis Coach is responsible for leading all facets of the Women’s Tennis Program. This individual will understand the mission of the NCAA, Division III, Elmhurst University Athletics, and the role of an athletic department in creating a positive environment for student-athletes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
Commitment and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Elmhurst University, the CCIW and the NCAA.
Cooperate with and furnish the NCAA, the CCIW and/or Elmhurst University with truthful and complete information concerning involvement in or knowledge of rules violations.

Responsibilities

Organizes and operates an effective and competitive Women's Tennis Program.
Coordinates recruitment of student-athletes.
Attends and participates in all team planning sessions with coaching staff.
Aids in the planning, organizing, and executing of all traditional season practice sessions for the program.
Conducts on-court coaching during intercollegiate contests.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of Elmhurst University, NCAA, and CCIW rules and regulations.
Adheres to NCAA compliance regulations.
Endorses and supports other sports within Elmhurst University Athletics.
Interacts with other university constituencies, as appropriate, and actively participates in their events.
Supports the mission, vision, and values of Elmhurst University.
Supports the athletic department and the University’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Demonstrates a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned.
