About The Position

Concordia College is seeking a Head Women’s Tennis Coach to lead our NCAA Division III women’s tennis program and support the athletic, academic, and personal development of our student-athletes. This is a part-time, .20 FTE, year-round position responsible for the overall leadership and administration of the women’s tennis program in accordance with institutional, NCAA, and MIAC rules and regulations. The Head Coach will lead coaching and player development, recruitment, team culture, academic success, program administration, and other activities that contribute to a competitive and positive student-athlete experience. As Head Coach, you’ll have the opportunity to mentor student-athletes, build a strong and supportive team culture, and contribute to the mission and community of Concordia Athletics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-3 years of coaching experience or by equivalent education/experience
  • Effective leader and communicator
  • Enjoys developing student-athletes
  • Enjoys building a positive team culture
  • Ability to balance coaching, recruiting, organizational, and administrative responsibilities of leading a collegiate athletics program.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the Concordia women’s tennis program, including practices, competition preparation, coaching strategy, and player development.
  • Recruit and retain student-athletes who align with Concordia’s academic standards, mission, and Athletics values.
  • Foster a positive, competitive team culture that supports student-athlete growth, well-being, and academic success.
  • Mentor student-athletes and support their athletic, academic, personal, and social development.
  • Ensure compliance with College, NCAA, and MIAC policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate program operations, including scheduling, travel, equipment, and other administrative responsibilities.
  • Manage the program budget and support fundraising, alumni relations, and community engagement.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to assistant coaches and other staff supporting the program.
