About The Position

Vineyard Vet Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Head Veterinary Nurse for a fixed-term contract until March, with potential for future opportunities. This role is ideal for a senior nurse who enjoys supporting others, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring high standards of patient care. The Head Veterinary Nurse will mentor the nursing team, develop clinical standards, and contribute to the hospital's exceptional care for pets and their families.

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a senior veterinary nursing or leadership role
• A natural ability to motivate, support, and communicate with a team
• Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and exceptional client care

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and inspire our veterinary nursing team
• Mentor nurses and encourage professional growth
• Oversee day-to-day nursing operations and workflows
• Maintain high standards of patient care and clinical excellence
• Assist with team development, training, and continuous improvement
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians and the wider hospital team
