About The Position
The Head Varsity Cheer Coach develops and maintains an efficient and competitive athletic program. The role requires substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of cheer and keeping informed about new theories and procedures relevant to the sport. The coach is responsible for fundraising, running camps and clinics, and complying with all AIA bylaws. The position is for a sport-specific term, with compensation according to the applicable QCUSD salary schedule.
Requirements
- Complete the NFHS Concussion Course.
- Complete the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching course.
- Complete the NFHS Bullying, Hazing & Inappropriate Behaviors Course.
- Head coaches must also complete the NFHS Sport-Specific Course and First Aid Course.
- Have [XX years of varsity coaching experience] (as stated in the posting).
- Pass a background clearance.
- Obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Have substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
