About The Position

USD 495 is seeking a Head High School Coach to lead our high school track program for the 2026-27 school year. This role is dedicated to fostering strong relationships, cultivating a positive team atmosphere, and supporting the growth of student-athletes both academically and personally. Larned High School, part of the PK-12 USD 495 district with approximately 850 students, is a small, close-knit educational environment where students are recognized individually and relationships are highly valued. The community actively supports its schools, with athletic programs playing a significant role in this connection. Larned High School competes in the Central Kansas League, viewing athletics as an integral component of the educational experience.

Requirements

• Track coaching experience preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to positive experiences for student-athletes
• Ability to work well with students, families, and colleagues
