About The Position

As a Head Start Teacher – Hungry Valley, you'll lead a preschool classroom that supports children's growth while meeting Head Start Performance Standards and RSIC policies. You will guide classroom staff and volunteers, partner with families, and keep learning experiences aligned with Creative Curriculum. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering developmentally appropriate activities; completing screenings and ongoing observations; maintaining accurate files, attendance, meal counts, and safety documentation; supporting children's social-emotional development using Positive Behavioral Support; coordinating with disability-related partners; and communicating regularly through conferences, home visits, and written/electronic updates.

Requirements

CDA (Preschool) or AA/BA (or related degree with 15 ECE credits)
2+ years ECE experience
Valid driver's license
Eligible for RSIC vehicle insurance
Age 21+
Ability to pass screenings/background checks
Ability to pass physical exam/TB
Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid/Food Handler within 3 months
