About The Position

As Head of US Operations, you will be responsible for scaling and leading our US Production Line, working closely with the GM to deliver exceptional outcomes across Underwriting, Operations, and Sales. You will own the performance and success of these teams, ensuring customers are served with excellence (measured by Trustpilot and NPS) while driving strong conversion rates and funded amounts. In addition, you will work closely with Risk and Compliance stakeholders to ensure policies are both commercially sound and aligned with local regulatory requirements. This is a highly impactful leadership role, requiring both strategic oversight and a hands-on approach. You will build, mentor, and empower your team, strengthen operational processes, and partner closely with Credit Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams to deliver efficiencies, automation, and policy improvements. Ultimately, your goal is to create a high-performing, compliant, and customer-centric operation that enables YouLend’s growth in the US market.

Requirements

  • Prove experience leading and scaling teams (ideally 20+people) with a track record of developing talent and building high-performing functions.
  • A result-driven leadership who is comfortable setting clear goals, holding teams accountable and delivering measurable business impact.
  • 2+ years’ experience at a high-growth tech company or top strategy consulting firm.
  • Project management experience from fast-paced environment like start-ups, scale-ups, etc.
  • Strong problem solving and analytics, e.g. through MS Excel and tools like Power BI, along with the ability to translate data and insight into decisions and actions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.
  • Excellent change management handling.
  • You will be proactive, take ownership, and act with urgency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of mass data manipulation through SQL, Python, R, etc. would be useful.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of making our US Production Line as efficient as possible, while delivering high conversion rates, partner service, and customer outcomes.
  • Hire, train, and develop current and prospective team members to take on more responsibility in this new structure.
  • This includes, but is not limited to: (1) drive forward KPI reporting and monitoring across the teams to deliver growth and efficiency and (2) identify process gaps and work with the team to close them.
  • Drive operational efficiencies while improving quality of work and ensuring our processes and policies live up to increasing degrees of compliance.
  • Identify automation and other improvement opportunities to further develop the process for delivering rapid financing to merchants.
  • Work closely with your Credit Risk and Compliance teams to adapt and deliver on policies.
