About The Position

A strategic leader to architect the operational framework for R&D and emerging game technologies. You will partner with executive leadership to manage financial planning, organizational partnerships, and workforce strategies, ensuring all innovation initiatives align with 2K’s long-term roadmap.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership: 10+ years in game studio operations, supporting new production or technology teams.
  • Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to align creative goals with complex budgets and business objectives.
  • R&D Expertise: Experience managing the high-risk, iterative cycles inherent in new technology initiatives.
  • Strategic Mindset: Highly logical, decisive, and patient enough to navigate experimental environments.
  • Effective Communicator: Ability to champion an innovation-led culture and stand by a unique strategic POV.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic R&D Architect: Define and drive operational goals and milestones for technology-assisted development.
  • Workforce Strategy: Model agile team allocations and identify opportunities for new tools and workflow development.
  • Financial Management: Lead studio budgeting, forecasting, and milestone scheduling for high-stakes R&D projects.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and track technological risks and opportunities across the studio initiatives.
  • Vendor & Shared Services: Manage external partnerships and vendors to prototype new pipelines.
  • Cultural Leadership: Partner with HR to foster a culture of experimentation and implement upskilling programs for new technologies.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Establish workflows to share R&D methodologies and learnings across the 2K ecosystem.
