About The Position

Pangram Labs’ mission is to protect authenticity by building the world’s best AI detection systems. We publish research on state-of-the-art AI detection techniques and algorithms, and build products to bring our technology into people's daily lives. We are looking for high agency, mission-driven, and passionate builders to join our team. All roles are in person in Brooklyn, New York. Pangram Labs is hiring a Head of Operations to own the day-to-day operations at Pangram. You will both manage the recurring tasks that keep the business running, as well as report directly to the CEO to act as a force multiplier to the executive team. You'll be the person who makes sure nothing falls through the cracks as we scale. You'll own a wide range of operational tasks that are currently handled ad hoc by the founding team. This is a great opportunity to step into a high-ownership, zero-to-one role at a fast growing startup in the AI space.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience working in some business function (banking, consulting, or operations at a startup)
• Some exposure to the tech and AI industry to understand our business and product, you don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to be comfortable working in tech
• Detail oriented and analytically minded
• Excellent communication skills
• Comfortable with ambiguity and working across functional boundaries

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Series A or earlier)
• Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, or accounting platforms (e.g., Gusto, Ashby, QuickBooks)
• Experience supporting fundraising processes or investor relations

Responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of contracts with customers, vendors, and partners, from drafting through execution and renewal tracking
• Support hiring managers across the recruiting pipeline, including sourcing, scheduling, and coordinating interviews
• Manage routine day-to-day HR tasks
• Develop internal tools and systems to help the business scale effectively
• Work with leadership and our external accountant to assist with finance-related tasks
• Build and improve the internal tools, processes, and systems that help the team operate efficiently as we scale
• Identify and fix operational gaps before they become problem
