About The Position

Citi, a leading global bank with approximately 200 million customer accounts and operations in over 160 countries, is seeking a seasoned Director to lead a significant portfolio within its Wealth Technology organization. This senior leadership role is for a Wealth Management Technology veteran with expertise in critical functions such as client onboarding, CRM, advisor tools, workflows, documents, and the data that powers them. The ideal candidate will be a proven "leader of people" skilled in building, molding, and unifying teams, responsible for integrating disparate platforms and experiences into a cohesive whole. This role requires a hands-on practitioner with proven experience in designing and building Wealth Management systems and who is an active AI practitioner, well-versed in using AI across different stages of software development and management.

Requirements

• 15+ years of technology leadership experience.
• 10-12+ years specifically within Wealth Management Technology in progressively senior roles.
• Demonstrable, deep experience across a wide range of Wealth Management functions, including Client Onboarding systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and integration of external data interfaces (e.g., market data, financial planning tools).
• Experience threading the balance between OLTP systems and reporting applications, with the ability to operate across both.
• Proven experience building teams from the ground up, mentoring senior talent, and unifying disparate groups into a cohesive, high-performing organization.
• Strong technical foundation and experience leading teams that span the entire technology stack, including data engineering, API development, and front-end UI/UX.
• Strategic thinker with a proven ability to design elegant, scalable, and integrated solutions to complex, cross-functional problems.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and build consensus with senior executives, peers, and engineers across a global organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree is a plus.
• Active AI practitioner, well versed in using AI across different stages of developing and managing software.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end technology strategy and execution for a portfolio of core wealth platforms, including Client Onboarding, CRM, External Data Interfaces, etc.
• Infuse AI into everything we do, acting as an ambassador for an AI-first approach.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across the full technology stack—from data and services/APIs to the front-end UI/experience layer—to deliver seamless, integrated solutions.
• Act as a dedicated "leader of people," responsible for building, molding, mentoring, and unifying teams.
• Foster a world-class engineering culture based on collaboration, ownership, and technical excellence, potentially incorporating AI agents.
• Drive the architectural vision for platform integration, ensuring scalable, resilient, and unified solutions.
• Partner with global heads of Product, Operations, and Technology to align team efforts with business priorities and deliver a world-class technology experience.
