About The Position

Solstice is redefining how life sciences organizations commercialize their therapeutics. We are building a commercial engine that allows pharmaceutical marketers to launch campaigns at 100x the speed. Rapid growth: Over the past year, we have been working with some of the top life sciences manufacturers and are working with over 50+ pharma brands. Frontiers of technology: We’re building applications and rapidly iterating technical approaches at the frontiers of AI, experimenting with LLMs and new frameworks. We are incorporating new, advanced frameworks to our solution to better define the possibilities of pharmaceutical marketing. Top-tier investors: We’ve raised from investors like Transformation Capital, Twelve Below, Virtue and the founders of Datavant, Commure, and Paradigm to supercharge our growth and build an elite team of engineers and operators. Building anything great requires commitment and dedication. We’re looking for someone who has the fire to prove others wrong. This is a rare chance to be the founding Talent hire at a fast-growing AI company in life sciences. You’ll own the entire people function from day one — building the processes, culture, and team infrastructure that will define Solstice as we scale. Your time will be split across two core areas: 90% Talent Acquisition and 10% Internal HR & People Operations.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of talent or people experience, with a strong emphasis on recruiting — ideally at a high-growth startup
  • Proven track record of owning full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical roles
  • Hands-on experience building HR programs from scratch: performance reviews, handbooks, comp frameworks
  • Comfortable being the only HR person in the room — you’re energized by building, not maintaining
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters
  • Excellent communicator who can work closely with founders and individual contributors alike
  • Organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a healthcare, life sciences, or B2B SaaS company
  • Familiarity with tools like Ashby or similar HR/ATS platforms
  • Experience scaling a people function from seed to Series A or beyond

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across all functions — engineering, commercial, operations, and beyond
  • Partner with founders and hiring managers to define role requirements, leveling, and hiring bar
  • Build and manage a pipeline of top candidates through sourcing, referrals, and employer brand
  • Design a structured, consistent interview process that scales with the team
  • Track recruiting metrics and iterate on what’s working
  • Manage relationships with recruiting agencies and external partners as needed
  • Own total rewards and benefits — evaluate, negotiate, and manage the company’s comp and benefits stack
  • Write and maintain the company handbook, covering policies, culture, and people practices
  • Support onboarding to ensure new hires ramp quickly and feel set up for success
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions, concerns, and development
