About The Position

Hyperbolic Labs is seeking a Head of Talent to build and scale its recruiting function. As an early-stage company in AI infrastructure and distributed compute, attracting and hiring exceptional talent is critical. The Head of Talent will partner with founders and leadership to define hiring strategy, prioritize roles, and build a scalable hiring engine. This role involves establishing and owning end-to-end recruiting processes, defining interview frameworks, and implementing systems for efficient hiring across technical and business functions. The individual will lead critical searches, develop creative sourcing strategies, and define/track recruiting metrics to optimize the hiring funnel and candidate experience. This is a high-impact position that will shape the team and establish Hyperbolic as a top destination for technical talent, laying the foundation for scalable growth.

Requirements

  • Experienced recruiting leader with 7+ years of experience.
  • 2–3+ years owning or leading a recruiting function.
  • Proven track record as an early or first recruiter, building hiring processes and systems from the ground up.
  • Strong experience hiring highly technical talent, including software engineers, infrastructure, and AI/ML roles.
  • Experience recruiting across both technical and business functions in high-growth environments.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting metrics, pipeline management, and using data to drive hiring outcomes.
  • Ability to translate company goals into structured hiring plans and clear recruiting priorities.
  • Strong sourcing and closing capabilities, with experience engaging and closing senior-level candidates.
  • Experience designing structured interview processes, calibration frameworks, and scalable hiring practices.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a hands-on, execution-focused approach.
  • Strong cross-functional partner with the ability to influence leadership and hiring decisions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, or developer tools companies.
  • Background in venture-backed or high-growth startups scaling from early-stage to growth-stage.
  • Experience building employer brand and talent positioning in competitive technical markets.
  • Familiarity with Greenhouse, LinkedIn, and sourcing systems, with a focus on optimizing usage and performance.
  • Experience building and managing recruiting teams as companies scale.
  • Track record of hiring in highly competitive or niche technical talent markets.
