About The Position

This role is responsible for defining Bybit's company-wide security architecture and phased roadmap. The Head of Security will identify systemic risks across businesses and systems, and prioritize remediation. They will lead security initiatives across various domains including wallet and key management, trading systems, identity and access, software development, and infrastructure. A key aspect of the role is to build effective risk assessment, threat detection, and incident response capabilities, embedding security into engineering and day-to-day operations. The position requires anticipating emerging threats and technology shifts, and advising the CTO on major risks, priorities, and investment decisions.

Requirements

• Experience leading security for high-value assets or 24/7 mission-critical systems, with a track record of delivering change across teams.
• Ability to set a long-term security direction while remaining hands-on with incident response and complex risk remediation.
• Strong technical judgment and the ability to communicate risks clearly to business and technology leaders.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or digital assets is a plus, but not a requirement.
