Head of Security
About The Position
RevenueCat is seeking a deeply technical security leader to own and evolve the company's security roadmap. The role involves establishing clear priorities across infrastructure, application, and internal security, partnering closely with engineering leadership on architecture and security decisions, and evaluating risks and policies around AI-assisted development workflows. The Head of Security will build trust internally, drive meaningful improvements to the overall security posture, enhance detection, prevention, and response capabilities, and improve security education and awareness. The goal is to establish a mature, pragmatic, high-trust security program that supports both security and engineering velocity, helping RevenueCat stay ahead of the rapidly changing AI-driven threat landscape and be viewed as a critical technical and strategic leader.
Requirements
- Deeply technical security leader
- Understands how modern engineering organizations actually work
- Knows how to improve security without turning the company into a bureaucratic nightmare
- Pragmatic, calm under pressure
- Capable of building systems and processes that scale with the company
- Strong understanding of both infrastructure and application security
- Involved in real-world security incidents and knows how to navigate high-pressure situations with good judgment
- Comfortable operating with high ownership and ambiguity
- Can move between technical details, strategic planning, customer conversations, and incident response without losing context
- Excited about building and scaling a strong security organization over time
- Knows how to recruit great people, raise the bar, and create a security culture that engineers genuinely want to work with

Responsibilities
- Learn RevenueCat’s architecture, systems, and operational model
- Understand existing security posture, controls, tooling, and processes
- Build relationships across engineering and infrastructure teams
- Review current incident response and escalation practices
- Identify high-leverage improvements and key risks
- Own and evolve RevenueCat’s security roadmap
- Establish clear priorities across infrastructure, application, and internal security
- Partner closely with engineering leadership on architecture and security decisions
