About The Position

We're partnering with Quant, a global leader in digital transformation and technology solutions, seeking an Head of Security to join their team. Securing a chain platform that moves regulated money is not the same problem as securing an enterprise. The Clearing House has selected Quant to power its On-Chain Money Initiative, and we're hiring someone to own its security operations. This covers a 24/7 SOC working inside TCH's security tooling, the PKI lifecycle under TCH's governance, threat intelligence, on-chain analytics through providers such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Elliptic, and incident response end to end, alongside Platform Reliability, since most serious incidents here are both security and availability events. Ahead of an expected launch in the first half of 2027, much of the security model is being established rather than inherited. You would establish it, then prove it to people whose job is to find the gap.

Requirements

• Led security operations in financial services or another regulated industry.
• Built or run a function with continuous coverage.
• Understand the difference between an alert and a signal.
• Experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle ownership at scale.
• Experience producing evidence for a regulator.
• Ability to prove what you did and why you took the action that you did.
• A recognized security certification such as CISSP or GIAC, or one in progress.

Nice To Haves

• Blockchain analytics and on-chain transaction monitoring.
• Experience operating inside a client's security tooling rather than your own.
• Digital asset custody or exchange security.

Responsibilities

• Own security operations for a chain platform that moves regulated money.
• Manage a 24/7 SOC working inside TCH's security tooling.
• Oversee the PKI lifecycle under TCH's governance.
• Lead threat intelligence efforts.
• Conduct on-chain analytics through providers such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs and Elliptic.
• Manage incident response end to end.
• Collaborate with Platform Reliability, as security incidents are often also availability events.
• Establish the security model for the On-Chain Money Initiative.
• Prove the security model to stakeholders.
