About The Position

Kickoff is the first and only provider of personal training covered by health insurance, and it is built AI-first. Its coaches, dual-certified as Registered Dietitians and Certified Personal Trainers, guide clients through progressive, personalized exercise and nutrition programs focused on long-term health, while reducing costs for health insurance partners. Kickoff has grown 30x in the past year and has raised $11.2M from investors including 645 Ventures, FJ Labs and Expa. The Role Kickoff is hiring a Head of Provider Strategy & Operations (7+ years) to architect and scale its coach network. You will own the systems that determine how coaches join, onboard, improve and deliver care, lead an existing team from day one, and serve as a strategic thought partner to the CEO. Your first major project is optimizing coach compensation.

Requirements

7-15 years in strategy and operations, general management, chief of staff or marketplace operations at a fast-growing company or VC-backed startup
Built, scaled or operated people-intensive systems (provider networks, marketplaces, supply side, distributed or frontline workforces, incentives, performance management)
Designed incentive compensation that rewards exceptional performance
Strong data and financial modeling; able to build a compensation model for a two-sided marketplace
An AI-first way of working, with concrete examples of AI-driven process improvement
High agency, low ego and comfort with ambiguity
Ability to work on-site in New York

Responsibilities

Redesign coach compensation to drive coach and client satisfaction (first major project).
Build and scale coach onboarding, training and continuing education programs.
Use data modeling and experimentation to improve coach performance and scalability.
Lead and develop an existing team of direct reports.
Partner with the CEO and leadership team on key business decisions.
